Frankfurt motor show: Fiat Sedici update

The facelifted Fiat Sedici will get two cleaner, more powerful engines.

They are a 118bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 133bhp 2.0-litre Multijet diesel.

The gas engine has 115lb foot of torque, and replaces the 105bhp 1.6-litre gas engine formerly present in Fiat’s small-Sports utility vehicle.

The 2-wheel-drive Sedici presently has a high speed of 115mph and hits -62mph in 10.7sec, while averaging 45.6mpg (the 4×4 includes a top speed of 109mph, hits 62mph in 11.5sec and earnings 43.5mpg). Pollutants aren’t specified, but Fiat states they’re “about 10 percent” less than before.

The diesel engine, that has 236lb foot of torque, replaces the fir.9-litre Multijet unit. It produces 129g/km of CO2 within the two-wheel-drive form of the Sedici, lower 17 percent on before, and earnings 57.7mpg. Within the 4×4 Sedici it produces 143g/km and earnings 51.4mpg.

The diesel version can also be quicker than prior to the two-wheel-drive Sedici includes a top speed of 118mph and hits -62mph in 10.5sec, as the 4×4 includes a top speed of 112mph and takes 11.2sec to get at 62mph.

The Sedici may also get a minor facelift, together with a new, bullbar-styled front bumper and new metallic trim round the car headlights.

Pictures, prices as well as on-purchase dates weren’t launched.
